Christmas Bom - another sneak pre-view

It is really taking shape now. The ladies from the Campbelltown Guild and the ladies at the recent retreat in Mulgoa were allowed to view the progress of the new BOM. Here is another sneak preview.

BOM month 10

Block 10 in the Pioneer Patchwork Block of the month program is packed and ready to be picked up. Images of the BOM are published on the right hand side of the blog.

New 10 to 10 class!

Another date for a 10 - 10 class has been organized. It will be on the 30th August 2014.
Cost will be $100 for the day, which includes lunch.
Projects for the day will be either the disappearing pinwheel quilt or the stack and slash quilt from last year. Kits are available.

New BOM - another sneaky

It is taking shape - here is another preview for our new block of the month program.

New flannelette range

Just in time to make a cosy quilt for winter, we received the new flannelette range 'Bonsoir' from Marcus Fabrics. It comes in beautiful rich and saturated colours and has such a soft and warm feel to it. The range is ideal to make his and her quilts.

Katrina will teach and demonstrate machine applique techniques including buttonhole stitching, zig zag stitching, invisible blind hem stitching, fused raw edge applique and turned seam allowance machine applique.

Pioneer Patchwork at Campbelltown Patchwork and Quilters Guild

I was invited to give a presentation to the Campbelltown Patchwork and Quilters Guild at their April meeting. The ladies got a preview of our new Block of the month program (which is a Christmas project, because I love Christmas) and the response was fabulous. I had the chance to present our upcoming classes, workshops, kits and patterns. It is always exciting to present to a group of like-minded ladies (and Paul). A big thank you to Vicki and Julie for accompanying me and helping with the presentation and sales table.

Have a look at these beautiful new fabrics from the range 'Amelia' by Jo Morton, distributed by Andover fabrics. It's a bit pretty and a bit retro, so it's a great choice for a variety of projects.

New workshop - Strip pieced quilt

Would you believe that these perfect triangles aren't pieced? A very clever cutting and piecing technique makes this beautiful quilt top. Vicki Allen will show you how!

A date for this workshop has been set for the 19th July 2014, Cost is $55 for the day.

New Block of the month program

Our new Block of the month program is taking shape!
A little different to the previous programs it is not an actual block of the month, it is a row of the month, and because I love Christmas, it is a Christmas project.
Stars, Santa hats, Stockings, Reindeers, oh so cute......
And because it is only a 6 months program, you could have it completed just in time :-)

*new* Tea Towel Fabric

Tea Towels, Tea Towels, Tea Towels, who doesn't love them!?
Well, we here at Pioneer Patchwork are now stocking tea towel fabric in two great colors; Red & Cream that can be made into place mats as well! By adding a little embroidery of your own onto it or your favorite fabric swatches you can spruce them up a bit and personalize them.
